Cliff--

That's about the most perfect description of the China>Rider evolution as I've ever heard. I'll toast to that!

(recommended '74 versions: Dicks Picks 14: Space>China>MLB Jam>Rider; also 2/24/74.)

(recommended '79 version: Nassau, 10-31-79...)

(recommended '81 version: MSG, 3-9-81)

("" '82 version: 10-10-82, Frost, CA.)

Can anyone give me an early 90's recommendation....Cap Ctr 3-15-90 is pretty good but i'm sure there's better.

You've got to check out this one out that somedarkhollow turned Cliff onto, grendel, even Robert Parker would give it 100 pts!

if you listen closely, you can hear the band "lock-in" like the Allmans...

already "locked and loaded." Can't believe I forgot to list that one. It's a hum-dinger.

WWDreamer:

Nice call on 4-1-91. Jerry's voice is well, what it was in '91--pretty weak.
But both tunes are scorchers jam-wise, and Hornsby works nicely in the chorus on Rider.

Very sweet transition jam.
